Legend Software’s Valhalla

Got some neat goodies for you:

A walkthrough (1,840).  Note that this omits the obvious, such as eating and drinking.

Map (41,724; Scalable Vector Graphics format).   This consists of a four-panel version, a single-panel version, and a ‘legend’ (explanatory) file.

Map (126,556; as above but Windows MetaFile version).

Map (152,586; as before but in TIFF/Packbits format).

My own (modified 1990) version!  (24,141)
This has the following alterations:

Map for above (41,724; SVG version)
Map for above (127,156; WMF version)
Map for above (155,409; TIFF version)

Which map version to use?

From the file sizes, it’s self-evident that if your software supports it, you should use the SVG version.  As this is a cross-platform and non-propietary format (unlike the Corel Draw files I used to offer, on both counts), a lot of software supports this.  For instance, you could use InkScape.

Failing this, use the WMF version; nearly all Windows software supports this format.

Strictly as a last resort, use the TIFF version; just about any software, on any platform, should support this, but be warned that the quality won’t be nearly as good as with the vector versions.
